Ralf, follow-up on Second (and final) Sunday

Recommended Posts

I'm glad we ran into each other again, gladder that you were having so much fun finding good (to your tastes, and you're the one who matters) stuff.

About pretty, pretty baby, take a look at 230937781498

About Boyer, the definitive, so far, article on the firm and its products is http://www.galerie-photo.com/boyer-optique-objectif.html (French) and http://www.galerie-photo.com/boyer-lens-optic.html (English). What Eric and I wrote isn't perfect so I hope that in the fullness of time someone in France will pick up where we left off and produce a more complete version.

Dan - thanks for this post. Yup definitely had fun at the 2nd Sunday, but I must tell you, after 2.5 hours of going through gear, I started getting a headache, from all the commotion and abundance of items from various photographic eras, so I bowed out around 11:30 quite happy with my pickings.
In a way, I am glad someone else picked the initiative to continue the shows. It was a good monthly diversion, that's for sure.

Thanks for that beautiful, Perigraphe, unfortunately someone snagged it by the time I got to it.
Looks to be in quite good condition. I actually found the post where I had first seen a result from the Perigraphe, and you were one of the responders there: http://www.photo.net/classic-cameras-forum/00PbVl; :-)

I had mentioned Ajax D in our conversation, here it is from the flirckr post I have: <a href=" Ajax D Profile Clean

Ralf, thanks for the Ajax link. A propos of that sort of thing, if you're not acquainted with Sylvain Halgand's site http://www.collection-appareils.fr/carrousel/html/index.php take a look at it. It is very interesting.

About that Perigraphe. MINE MINE MINE! I'm the buyer. LaPoste's tracking system tells me that it has arrived in the US. Its serial number is 1 060 967, my 60's s/n is 1 061 286. I look forward to the 60's elder and larger brother's arrival. I believe there are several pictures of the 60 in my lens diary.

If you must have a 90/14 Perigraphe, here http://www.leboncoin.fr/image_son/406143420.htm?ca=12_s is 1 060 957. I bought my 60 from Daniel, found Anne's 90 slightly more appealing. I don't know how well you speak French; Daniel's English is excellent and he has a sense of humor. He shipped my 60 in a box for 8x10 paper.

Ralf, the Perigraphe arrived last week. Its lovely.

Today my 45/9 CZJ Goerz Dagor came back from Grimes in a cute adapter to #1. Time to try it out. I put it on a 2x3 Crown Graphic; it focuses a little through infinity, covers the ground glass with image. How good the image is is an interesting question. I expect it will be usable but quite as good as my 47 SA, but its cuter.

On the 6x12 project, the roll holder's fixed, all left to do is make a bag bellows. I have the frames and adhesive, have tested the adhesive and it adheres well enough, am waiting for the bellows fabric to arrive.

Until the next catastrophe comes along, things are looking up.

Të fala,

Dan
