kioku
hi everyone, i don't know very much about tripods but i was just given a used vivitar v3000. it's missing the quick release plate; is there a generic quick release plate that'll fit this tripod? will the following work? (from B&H): "Giottos Quick Release Plate for All Tripods" Thanks~!

colander
There is a plate made by Promaster that is for a Promaster Digital 4 tripod that will fit with a slight modification. All you have to do is shave off a little plastic from the flange on the plate and you're set. This item is Promaster code 3262 and costs around $12.00 at my local camera shop. Maybe cheaper if you can get it online.
rebecca_albers
I just purchased a quick release for the Vivitar v3000 from http://www.spartanphotocenter.com. The price was $14.99.
