Quick 580EX test...

I just picked up several 580EX Speedlites and did a quick test:

<p>No big surprises; it works quite well. I haven't had the chance to play with the wireless

option before (since I just recently sold my studio strobe setup) but it works and it's nice

not to

deal with cables and/or radio triggers.

 

<p>I can't say if the 580EX is any better than the 550EX at taking pictures, but the

ergonomics are certainly an improvement.

My big question: When I get the 580EX can I use my 550EX as a 100% compatible secondary fill flash?

Yes -- the 550EX works perfectly as a slave to the 580EX.
