t._duane_jones
I am currently a film shooting wedding/portrait photographer. My lab will print the proofs, and scan the negs to a CD. I want to make the client a CD, and need to do the following: 1) Resize the images for viewing 2)renumber the images to the corresponding neg number (eg: client name + frame #) 3) be able to change from JPEG to Tiff or vice versa. 4) rotate the vertical images. Will Irfanview allow me to accomplish this? I also need to watermark the images, but I can do this in PS 6 if I have to. I'm new to the digital technology, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,Duane
pmac
Irfanview will do all of the above as a batch, ecxept the conversion from tif/jpg/tif, which AFAIK is a 'save as' function, one at a time. Also, have a look at <a href="http://www.breezesys.com/BreezeBrowser/index.htm">Breezebrowser</a> which does all the above plus batch converts file types in its 'proofs menu, and has some nifty HTML templates for laying out the galleries. pmac
Correction - I just looked - 'Irfanview' will also batch convert filetypes.
t._duane_jones
Paul, Thanks for the info. I will also check out breezebrowser before I make a decision. Duane
jespdj
Note that IrfanView is free and BreezeBrowser costs money.
