Question on selling photos

Hi all I have been wondering does anyone have any suggestions of a site

similar to this that I can post photos to a gallery to see if I can sell any

of my work. I have not tried selling any before and was just thinking of test

the water. I do have a local showing booked for Oct. but wanted to see what

was out there in the big world. Thanks for any advice.

Hi Charlie. This is a very competative market. Having sold images myself I have found that the direct approach is the best. Study your prospective client with care and see what they are after. Some are happy to send you out a list of their needs. Send only your best work. Quality rather than quantity. If they want to see more of your work they will ask. Be prepared for rejection but never ever give up. Cheers.

You can register for free and they take a 20% cut of anything you sell. You also get emails detailing what publishers are looking for. There is an option to have paid service where people can search for your name and view everything you have submitted. They dont take a cut of anything you sell if you have this service.

 

They rate your photos, and the highr the average rating, the more web space you get for your photos.
