rick_tyrseck
I have read a little on the net and even referenced a CS book, but...I must have a mental block on this. When I apply the wand tool and outline a section that i either want to or not want to "adjust" (using invert): how do I save that exact selection, so I can recall that outlined area in the future to refine the previous adjustment for that area. Concept seems simple, but i am tripping all over this. Perhaps there is a tutorial out on the www that someone can point me toward. I just don't get the workflow needed. Sorry for such an easy question...
nigel_nagarajan
Choose Select --> Save Selection. If you have the Channels palette open, one of the tiny buttons at the bottom will do the same thing. You can view your saved selection in the Channels palette. It is saved in what is called an alpha channel. You can load it later and make further refinements to it.
rick_tyrseck
I tried this save selection, but I don't get ever back to seeing the marching ants. What am I missing here?
sean de merchant httpw
Select->Load Selection (or something similar) Or simply CTRL-click the alpha channel. enjoy, Sean
