Promaster tripods

I can only speak to the Promaster filters that I've seen, but I suspect that the quality of anything else with that brand would be similar. In my experience, if that's all you can afford, use it as best you can, and plan to upgrade to something better as soon as you can. These are economy products with a capital E-C-O-N-O-M-Y.

I had a promaster tripod for a while and recently sold it. Not bad just not good.

Get a Manfrotto 190XPROB for about $160 bucks, I like it much more then my old promaster. Its lighter, more compact

and works much better. Ad a 60 or 70 dollar ball head and it should be fine.
