Product Report: 'Micro-tool' Vacuum Acessories

I've been thinking I would like to have some itty-bitty brushes and

maybe a crevice tool to fit on a vacum for cleaning my cameras and

other things. I stopped by Home Depot and found just the right

deal. The brand name is Stinger and it's a package of micro-tools

and an adapter that goes from 1 1/4" hose to 3/8" OD for the tools

themselves. You get a little round brush (1/2"), an oval brush (1

1/4" x 1/2"), a tiny crevice tool and a little two piece wand set

one of which has an angle to it. They will work with any regular vac

I think but I bought them their own Stinger brand 2 gal wet dry vac.

The tools are about ten bucks and the vac was 25. Don't know if all

Home Depots have them.

Scott, I've got the Lowes equivalent: the little shop vac with the micro tool attachments---it lives with the camera stuff and every holder I own gets to dance with "Ma Shop-Vac" before being reloaded. A very worthwhile gadget...even AA gave his blessing to the lowly vacuum in one of his books...I started with a Mini Vac from Freestyle: I found it woefully underpowered. I goosed the rheostat a bit and it worked better until it's viking's funeral, then I replaced it with a shop-vac courtesy of a birthday gift certificate from a kind and thoughtful relative. Dust problems seem like a distant memory now. Some things can be very good when they really suck(!)
