george_crawford
I just bought a box of Kodak Ultima paper to use with my Canon i9000. Prints were made and given to the client. After a week they were returned as apparently the ink did not bond to the paper. Further more the pixalation was much greater than the cheapor Ilford paper or the FUJI paper i have been using. Has anyone else used this printer and paper combination sucessfully?
kin_lau
Any reason why you're not using the Canon paper? Kodak Ultima isn't any cheaper around here. The Epson papers have worked well for me. I have used the Staples "Premium" paper with my i860 with good results, and that's quite cheap too.

steven_clark
Kodak is not a good brand for inkjet photo paper especially if you are using an Epson or Canon printer. You should probably stop trying to shave costs here, good paper is good paper.
dave_cheng1
Did you set up your printer according to the data sheet packed in the box of your paper from Kodak? It says you need to set the printer to print it as a plain paper... No joke. It does make good prints. Kodak's setup data on the instruction sheet uses basically the manual adjustment mode of the printer driver. It gives the manual setup. Just follow the setup it will print beautifully. I agree that Canon paper is better. It is resin coated. You can dip the printout in water then dry it with nothing changed or damaged. If you do that to Kodak paper it is destroyed instantly. Kodak does announce a new resin coated professional paper but I have not seen it in anywhere yet.
