davidmccracken
Forgive me if someone has suggested this already. I think it would be a good idea if when clicking on a contributors 'Current POW Recipient Icon' we were taken to that POW.
davidmccracken
I realise searching by name is possible. On that point, you are required to put both names in and not and / or as the search form suggests.
joshroot
Though I get while you are asking, I am not in favor of that idea. People frequently misunderstand the meanings of the icons. I'd like to stay consistent with the idea that clicking on any icon takes you to the icon description page.
michael_dimarzio
Hi Josh. Actually I think it's a good idea. The icon description page should be moved to the FAQ page. Additional icons (in a past thread you mentioned adding a icon for commercial vendors) could take the clickee to their commercial site. This thread http://www.photo.net/film-and-processing-forum/00QT36 has lab techs, pro photographers, and other specialized users posting. It would be really cool if subs could choose a custom icon that would describe their photo interest, such as a photo frame for pros, a beer can for bums like me, nuts and bolts for a lab tech, bells for a wedding photographer. Not to make it overly complex, but the icon could take a viewer to the POW, a wedding photographers commercial site, a beer can to the park bench blog. rgds-md
lex_jenkins
Not a good idea. People who have carelessly clicked on my icon have disappeared into the perpendicular universe, never to be seen again. The uninitiated should not click without premeditation.
