Your animal-shots are very professional, Haig. But ofcourse the leaf fits better with my taste (excuse my crooked english).
Besides digging for rabbits, I didn’t have much time for any serious photo-work.
Still, these are the spoils of this week :

No new roll this week - a newborn can be rather time consuming, I'd say. So: I'll break the rules one more time.

Here's one from the last roll I got back from the lab, Fuji Pro800Z shot with my last buy (a Pentax MZ-5n). I rarely take pictures at sunrise - but this was THE day, and I had to get up to drive my wife to the hospital anyway!
00Qgs2-68293684.jpg.f142d345ecf124abb60ca9259a808ac9.jpg

That spider will have a tough time cleaning out it's web.. Nice one of the moth.. looks like you did not have much light. Your glass is neat, I should play around with that some time.. I like the results :-)

Considering your preoccupation with the bunnies.. I can understand why the leaf fits your taste better! LOL. I was actually thinking of your photos when I shot it.. I am not sure I should not play with it in pp, it is currently in it's natural state.

Nice beginning, I'll wait until there are more before I comment.

Just a heads up to everyone. In a few hours I will be posting a Picture of the Month Mirror Lens

thread on the Casual Conversations forum.
Today I have two shots from an outdoor restuarant/bar that I frequent with friends. First, a friend rolling a smoke:

Thought of doing this one in black white, maybe will get to it later.
Then lighting up:

And then a lily of some sort, its a 1:1 macro with my new lens:
Christophe.. glad somebody gets up early to give us early morning shots :-)
Markus: your colorvision is pretty darn cool! But I would have to vote the stairs as my favorite.
Doug: I love your 1:00 am perspective on life! Very creative and well executed :-) Duly noted that the bold is off :-)
Ben: The peach flower is beautiful..and who can turn down cockatoos? The noisy kookaburra on the other hand is

better served in black and white methinks. I'll be visiting Sydney in a couple of weeks.. too bad you aren't in the

vicinity.
Garry: Rolling a joint? LOL I like lighting up.. great light, and the subject is totally engrossed in his world. The lily

macro is beautifully done. Very pretty colors.
Haig, the grasshopper is really crisp, nice shot! Love the leaf too. Amazing natural coloring. By the way, my lily is virtually untouched too - amazing natural colors.
O Shiva, the glass is great. Love the minimalist feel.
Christophe - no shot of the little one? I've had two, and I know how exhausted you can get!
Markus, those stairs in the tower are one of the best applications of HDR I've seen yet! Great shot!
Doug, the one am blur with sharp glasses might be great in black and white! Still really nice shot.
Ben, I really like the kookaburra. Not sure if the sepia is better than b&w as I haven't seen the other, but it looks good. First thought was to bring up the contrast and blacks a little, but actually the light shading effect is really nice.
Some great shots already!! Haig, the "little" guy is amazingly clear, as is O Shiva's moth. The last week of August is

always hell week for me, working at the pool, varsity soccer practice and faculty meetings. I didn't touch my camera all

week. I know that this thread is suppose to be about pictures shot during the week but in honor of the opening of another

school year, I would like to post one of my all time favorite pics. Shot in the spring of 1978 with my 35mm Nikkormatt and

a 105mm lens. My second year in the classroom. I only spent four years at Ben Franklin High in North Philly but they were

memorable.
00Qgw0-68335784.jpg.5ca01fbfad0e7d1788ac0bf92512cf45.jpg
