Sweet Pic Justin... We were out whale watching in Maine. On the ride out the naturalist was calling out birds...
This was actually from some time ago; not a particularly great photo; but, it is of a crawfish I spotted in a stream. While I love Creole cooking, and will therefore gladly eat a huge boil of crawfish, I have never photographed one before.

Great shots so far!! These two shots are from my hike on Friday.... both from Babcock State Park here in West Virginia... just waiting for the leaves to change, then I will be editing pics all winter. The first in a window in the Grist Mill at the park. The second are wildflowers along side the entrance road.

00UPhj-170251684.jpg.d43e8dbd9a42aef7fd4abfacfbbc99ff.jpg

Ryan's photo is something I would love to be able.......
.
I haven't made a single photo this week, something that hasn't happened to me in years. I'm very busy doing up my house in order to sell it. So I'll submit a favourite of my son that I shot last spring.

Lens Focal Length: 21,00 mm ()
Shutter Speed: 1/2000 sec
F-Number: F9,5
ISO: 400
and a little shopping....
.
edit: strange, after submitting the photo has been stretched out of proportion

Wow, there are somenice nature pics here. Peter and Ryan's beaches - WOW! Williams window is nice too, and I have to love the kid digging for gold. And stretched or no, that remains a great shot of your boy, Dorus.
I have a couple I haven't processed much yet, but I still like em.

00UPlf-170287584.jpg.5e1b682bde94c60dfe4426076db06794.jpg

We came back yesterday from a camping trip to one of my favourite places in the world, Killarney Provincial Park, Ontario. I have a large number of images to process, but here are 2 of my favourites. The first picture is my first attempt at a long exposure night shot, of George Lake by the light of a nearly full moon and stars alone. K200D, 18mm, f/4.0, approximately 4 minutes at ISO 100.

00UPlz-170289584.thumb.jpg.59d9743ca6c1ebe54e4d06bf7624f858.jpg

My second image is not very spectacular in terms of quality, but I’m grateful to the loon that he let me come so close, since my longest lens is 150mm. Still, I like the colours in the water… K200D, 150mm, f/3.5, 1/45sec (!), ISO 200, handheld in the canoe.

00UPm7-170289684.JPG.25b6815468d5ccaf278e200a8a685835.JPG

In (semi-) retirement, I was just a spectator to the launch of the Fall Semester (I no longer have to cower under a desk in the Registrar's Office ;~) so I took the K20D to campus and tried out my new used 24mm Sigma AF Super-Wide II . I mostly use it for close-ups but figured I should try something different and commandeered a step ladder to get a bit above the crowd for this one ( f/10, ISO 200, 1/320s--we've had brutally bright weather for a week now.)
Oh and did I mention We're #1! ?

Spent thursday out at Elk Island National Park looking for the Woods bison (Bison bison athabascae), the larger and generally heavier cousin of the Plains bison (B b bison). Could not get a frontal head shot because they move away from you and circling around to confront them head-on is not recommended. I have gaussed out the background habitat to provide better contrast for the animals. Both 1/125 @ f8.0 on DA 50-200 @ 200mm. hand-held braced against the vehicle.

00UPn6-170301584.jpg.711aaeba0ef343f1541886c17ca40e12.jpg

I haven't contributed before, but I shot I took yesterday reminded me of another one from this summer so I'll post them here. They are both pretty much the only macro-ish photos I have...
I think you should be able to click through and view them larger on flickr.

Justin - your shot is a classic - we see if often in our house of little ones. There are three others that I really like so far - I know more will come - Nick's colours, Ryan's beach and Zack's couple on the hill. Welcome Scott - from another relatively newcomer to this forum site. It's fun here.
We had celebrated Father's Day in Oz today and we took a little run up the hill and out of the city to Toodyay. Had three most special ones for posting.

00UPqK-170327684.jpg.c181c96e3130591378a03c67d34e5824.jpg

I'm working on photos for the sale prospect of the concrete sculptures for the park with the Pentax K10D and FA 50mm macro and the wonderful Pentax-K 28mm F3.5 and prepare myself with some fill and bounce flash training for the big baptism event in Greece in ocotber. I show you two photos from last week at the train station.

00UPsA-170339584.jpg.9f033a5151c2ab5ee5a761a5026e1980.jpg
