Hi Folks.

Hope the New Year is starting out well. I had a chance to head to south central Indiana for a chance to chase down a little wildlife this week.

It's been cold and snowy here. We don't always get significant snow in town but we got a couple of feet, a day of clear skies and bitter cold, and now more snow that is supposed to be several feet again. I't really getting deep out there. Kind of fun since I can deal with it ok.
This is sunrise yesterday from my porch. It was -30 F and I didn't want to go far!

@Douglas, that is so awesome, I like the 2nd one
@Bob, I want some OJ right the way
@Matt, I love your work and all are spectacular and my pick is #3 for some odd reason -- I can't ski like that. No way. I am the city folk who is happy in not crashing on the blue run.

It is better Not to say anything but to post. The fact of the matter is I cheat in posting as I don't have Pentax gear photos. I use more on my Sony gear than Pentax I prefer shooting lighter and smaller gear especially in traveling. The other night was a rainy night, I thought about trying out my DA* 16-50 at night with rain. But I fell short again. Instead, I had a funky Fujinon 75mm f/1.8 in c-mount that can only be used on mirrorless

#1 Enlightenment

<a href=" Enlightenment src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/571/32196188115_3bb3c17a8f_b.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="576" />

#2 Carol Street Corner

<a href=" Carol Street Corner src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/315/31348085624_f7b3609012_b.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="1024" />

#3 Light Travelers

<a href=" Light Travelers src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/274/32080296011_9fd400912a_b.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="576" />

#4 Never Stop The Music
<a href=" Don't Ever Stop The Music src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/565/32195984885_7988878167_b.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="683" />

The last one was shot with a Sigma 60mm f/2.8 while the rest were shot wide open with Fujinon 75mm f/1.8 adapted to E-mount and shot inside my car with raindrops on my windshield, wet street after rain and few cars passing by with only single house still having Christmas lights on display. This c-mount lens flaring is very unusual, I should have shot a short clip show what I saw with cars passing by or coming to me with lights streaking out like a maze as if ghost travelers from another time. I was in awe and shoot without much thinking. Most are not in particular focus but to find the bokeh lights of something odd.

Douglas, really nice crane photos! Nicely done.
Thanks Hin! This boy, a friend, has probably been skiing since he could walk! He is a very gifted athlete with anything he does too.
The industry and ski towns need all kinds of skiers to stay afloat so we appreciate them all. Intermediate skiers will become advanced skiers given enough time. Anyway it's fun to see different perspectives on the sport I live so close to it's hard to get an objective look at.
Also the bokeh on that Fujinon is crazy! Never seen anything like it.
Cute pup Patrick!
