tom_r
There are no rules as to how you apply your post processing to this image; but, please let us know what you have done so we can all learn. If you would like to post a candidate image next week, please ensure it is of sufficiently high resolution for manipulation by the participants (3000px on the long side, 300dpi for example). Most of all, let's have fun while we are learning or demonstrating how we use our post-processing software, imaginations and interpretations. Here's a SOC from a trip to Montana.
Bill J Boyd
Nice image, Tom. I did my usual edits in LR (slight crop, adjust highlights & shadows). Then added Tonal Contrast in NIK
Glenn McCreery
I was attracted to the reflections in the left half of the photo, so I made a vertically oriented crop. Then I used tonal contrast in NIK ColoeEfex to help separate shadow detail, plus hue/saturation and curves adjustments in Photoshop CC. I also cloned out a few distracting elements in the lower left corner.
Glenn McCreery
A further modified version using Topaz Simplify impressionistic painting settings.
mikemorrell
I like this too, Tom. I used Topaz "impressions" get an an impressionist painting look and blended this back in with with the original. Tweaked saturation and levels.
frankmercer
I used PS CS6. I darkened the sky using a gradient filter, next I lightened the shadows using the Shadows/Highlights adjustment, and last I added the sun and lens flare using the Render > Lens Flare from the Filter menu.

PuntaColorada
Beautiful Image, tom_r. Thank you for posting it. This is a north meets south composite. The sky is from here in South America. I also did some saturation stuff and luminosity changes using techniques taught by Unmesh Dinda on his YouTube channel PiXimperfect. Unmesh is an excellent teacher and some of the things he shows just blow me away. Rather than describe what I did, I am appending a screen shot of the layers I used. Once again, thanx tom_r! You have no idea how much more enjoyable for me it is to work on someone else's image!
mikemorrell
Thanks for the link to PIXimperfect! You and others might know it, but I've found some of Plearn's tutorials to be helpful too. I'd be happy to host next week's PP challenge. I think it's a great idea to share the 'hosting' amongst those of us who are up for it. If you - and others - agree with this, I'll start a thread where people can 'opt in'. Maybe get one of the mods to make it a sticky (for new members opting in). Then we can just take it in turns. Let me know what you think about this. Mike Beautiful Image, tom_r. Thank you for posting it. This is a north meets south composite. The sky is from here in South America. PuntaColorada
Here's one with a different sky from here quickly added. There are some blotches that need attention; but, it is sunny and 25˚C and I don't want to be inside any more.

michaellinder
Wonderful selection, Tom I did 2 versions #1 Initially, in PSE15, I copped from the top to just above the treetops in the left Then I used levels for tonal adjustments. Then in Color Efex, I used one of the pastel filters, primarily to add green. I also used the red curve to emphasize 2 areas near the shoreline. Finally, I used Output Sharpener but with a very delicate touch. .
michaellinder
#2 This time I did no cropping at all. I decided to Analog Efex and selected a vintage camera preset; I added the frame, among other things (which I promptly forgot). No sharpening was added.
