everheul
I'm down to my last box of type 55. I know, the stuff is discontinued. Is there anything out there that could be used in the 545i that gives a B/W negative? Damn I really am going to miss this film.
ian_mazursky
Nothing thats instant. Although you can still find some boxes of type 51. It give a high contrast positive and normal neg. Its a bit faster than 55. Around iso 80. But it too will be gone very soon. You can also use Kodak Tmax 100 Readyloads and Fuji Acros 100 Quickloads. You need a darkroom or a lab for them. -Ian
everheul
Thanks. I've got the readyloads of TMax. I have a darkroom. Took a 2 year hiatus from photography due to angry wife. Just getting back in the darkroom and behind the LF gear again, and was very disappointed to see so much of the instant film gone...not surprised though. For regular 4x5 it's been tri-x, hiking I use ready loads. Portraiture, has been where I LOVE type 55. How about Fujifilm FP-100B, or is that just for pack film holders? santo_roman
Eric, Your not the only one! I've been looking and the going price seems to be about $110 for a pack of the 55. I can't believe I passed up splitting a case of it a year ago! I've heard that the fuji 100B works but sometimes snags the sides of the 545's.
