zana_fauzi
Hi everyone, My name is Zana and I'm new to polaroid photography. My question would be : Is it possible to use my Polaroid OneStep without flash, or is it better to use it ? The instructions in the manual said to use flash all the time except when taking pictures of glass or shiny objects. So far, the outdoor pictures turned out fine but the indoor ones (with flash) look horrible, which made me question whether I should just forget the flash. With other cameras, I don't really use flash often because it would lose the depth and colors. Thank you in advance.
sam_thompson2
You can try getting an external flash and using a slave to bounce the external flash off of a wall or a ceiling for a more pleasing effect. This Metz flash is probably over kill. http://www.metz.de/en/photo_electronics/mecablitz_28_CS-2_digital.225.html But a slave flash with manual controls is something you should be looking into. dave_powell2
Hi Zana, For indoor shots, I actually toned down the flash on mine by taping a looped sheet of thin, semitransparent, gray plastic over the flash. With some experimentation (at $1 per sheet), I got some pretty well exposed portraits...but I don't do this too often! Sincerely, Dave
andy m
Hold a coffee filter or something over the flash to diffuse it.
larrydressler
Put your finger over 1/2 the flash Larry
stacy
Same as above- I tape a bit of tissue paper over my flash. You can use different colors too if you want a "gelled" look :)
