Polaroid one step flash instant camera- what film can it take?

Recommended Posts

I have purchased some Polaroid 600 instant colour film pack.
Will this work in my camera? Also, is the battery included in the film?
I am quite new at using polaroids!!

If you have a One Step 600, you have the correct film. If you have a camera called One Step (without the 600) you have the wrong film. That camera requires SX-70 film. However, you can fit the 600 film into a SX-70 camera by cutting off the nubs on one side if the film pack. But, the film sensativity will be incorrect. The 600 film is 640 ASA, while SX-70 film is 150 ASA. So the 640 ASA film will only work if you put a filter that attenuates about 2 stops worth of light in front of the lens.

The film will work in the camera. Yes. The batterly is included in the film. Just open the film door on the front of the camera, unwrap the film out of the silver wrapping and slide the whole black catridge into the camera and a piece of black paper should then come out of the front and you are ready to go.
