alex_hawley
I'm having problems with my 550 back putting a broad streak down the center of the print. Seems to be related to the rollers. I've cleaned them per the instructions with no change. The instructions/troubleshooting on the Polaroid website were of no help in diagnosing or correcting the problem (or else I couldn't find the right info there). Anyone have any suggestions? scott_walton2
Alex, the only thing that comes to mind right away is to check to make sure the back screws are tight. If you look at the opening (where the polaroid is exposed), check those screws. Also check around the sides to see if there is a gap that light could get in. It might be a matter of taking the back totally apart... Also, check the rollers/rubber spreaders to see if there is anything wrong with the rubber spreader i.e. cuts in the rubber or just gunned up. I usually scrub the spreaders with 91% alcohol until they come clean.
joe_photo
Look for any place the film passes through. It sounds like something is "denting" the film after the developer has been spread.
clark_king1
Alex I have had the same problem and many others with my 550 pola. holder. All I can say is that soaking my roller assembly in hot water for about an hour solved the problem. I have had other problems resulting from faulty film packs.
