rok_libnik
Hi! Is it true, that it's not recommended to fit polarising filter over UV filter? If so, why? Thanks, Rok
ellis_vener_photography
Because it is unnecessary (all filters filter out UV light)
Because it automatically degrades the resolution of the lens.
Because it increases the risk of flare (you add two extra air to glass surfaces).
Because with even moderate wide angles it can cause vignetting (blacked out corners) onyour negative. aardvarko
... although, if you're a college student and can't afford to regularly replace your 67mm polarizer (raises hand), sometimes it's a good idea to put a UV filter *over* the polarizer :-)
