jamie_jackson1
I have three adaptors that mount to Pentax K, Nikon AI, and Minolta bodies, respectively, and they all seem to take the same lens mount. I can't figure outwhich lens type attaches to these adaptors, though.

<imgsrc="http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/5742/dsc2185qg5.jpg" border="0"alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us"/>

Any ideas?
Thanks,Jamie
leicaglow
It's been awhile since I've used one, but I think it's a standard "T" adapter that lets you use a single lens on any of those bodies, using a T mount for that lens.
davepearman
I can't be sure from this one picture, but that looks like a Soligor I-S lens mount to me. If so, these mounts will only fit Soligor I-S lenses. They're quite unusual in that the aperture ring is on the mount, not on the lens like Tamron Adaptall, etc.
jamie_jackson1
@Micheal Axel: Isn't a T mount threaded? @Dave Pearman: Would some other angle of photo clinch it? There's a real dearth of information on the Internet about Soligor I-S, it seems.
dan_fromm2
Michael Axel, T mount is M42x0.75 with no diaphragm actuation linkage. Were you thinking of T-4?
davepearman
Hi, Jamie. I just found another I-S mount to compare it with, and it's not one of those after all - sorry about that. Do these mounts have the aperture ring on them? If so, they may have been made by the Toshiba Photo Products Company in Japan, and lenses were briefly sold under the Topman/Tosner brands, and others. A three-quarter view showing the aperture scale might help... Dave.
david_m
Whatever it is, there is no guarantee that you have all of it. It could be a T4 mount or an Adaptall mount with pieces missing. It could even be the bottom of a fixed mount lens that has become detatched.
alex_lofquist
It does look incomplete!
jamie_jackson1
Thanks for all the answers so far. As requested, I've taken several more shots of the adaptors.

Flickr Set

Does that help?
davepearman
I'm pretty sure those are Toshiba/Tosner/Topman mounts, but I haven't seen one for a few years and can't find a picture of any of those I've had in the past.

A Google search didn't find much, but there is a picture of the rear of a Tosner 28mm lens in this translated thread from a Japanese forum posting.

You don't see these lenses often, and they weren't anything special, though the Toshiba connection does make them slightly more interesting than usual...

marco_gandolfo2
Dave, I think you're right! Thanks for the help. Jamie Hello, I haven´t posted for some time but feel I may contribute to clarify this subject. First off, your picture reminds me strongly of some Olympus adapters I have tucked away somewhere. I have recently acquired some Tosner items (28/2,8 and 135/2,8 lenses together with their Tosner to Canon FD adapter) and these look vastly different from the image you have posted. Sorry today I´m in the middle of other things and cannot take/upload item pictures, but promise to do it shortly. Best regards, Marco
