PJDDR / Parker J Pfister photoshop actions...how does he do this?

I'd like to replicate the effect shown in some of the

photo's.<br><br>Particularly the two on the homepage here <a

href="http://www.pjddr.com/" target="_blank">www.pjddr.com</a><br><br>I'm

reluctant to spend 500 bucks on the actions just to get these two though so can

anyone tell me step by step either how they are done, or provide me with links

to cheaper alternatives that have the same effect? The one on the left I know

is desaturate and textures, and I can probably work that one out. The one of

the bride though I wouldn't know where to start! Thanks.

500 bucks! As for a cheaper alternative you could try the texture actions from www.1clickactions.com - they are pretty good and certainly a lot cheaper.

<p>Hey - I know you posted this ages ago - but I googled Parker J Pfister to check out his actions, and your post came up. Anyway - the home page may have changed since you posted, but do you mean the one of the bride by the fountain? I think he uses NIK software, and in the Color Efex Pro 3.0 there is a filter called "Fog" and it looks like in addition to a desaturate and a texture, there's either the Fog filter or a gaussian blur.....<br>

of course, I could be totally off - but if you didn't solve this months ago - maybe this will help :)</p>
