mcmanamey
This early enough for ya?! Well - our week was *fun* in the sarcastic AND non-sarcastic definitions of the word!! I spent way more time behind a video camera than normal and had to force myself to stop & pull out the still camera a couple times. I was taping kids painting houses all week. And of course teen + paint = FUN FUN FUN!!! We had to teach them a little about ladder safety, obviously.

mcmanamey
This was inspired by I forget who (sorry!!) who a couple months back posted a door & door knob. In (ack! I can't remember!) Switzerland, or was it a Dutch door???? Anyway, I've been looking intently at doorknobs ever since. Yes, thank you, I'm aware this is a hinge. The doorknob also had a hasp & padlock. Didn't want a bright shiny padlock in my picture, so thpppt.

jgredline
Went to an old train museum, It was quite cool...I caught a rainbow, but their was no pot of Gold waiting for me. :) These where shot my Latest eekbay lens. A Tokina 19-35 F/3.5-4.5 with a Tiffen 77 MM polarizer. I must say, I like this lens very much.... -- --
hagar
Maria: Somebody had to count to 3 for those two to jump off the ladder..Probably was Matthew.. That's neat shot. I like the action. Your doorknob on the other hand, needs a hasp and a padlock.. lol :-)
Adam: Qui est Paul?
Steve:That is an awesome shot with the lightning.. I would have loved to take that photo!
Javier: Great new lens.. and the train yard is pretty darn great. Looks like it's a keeper.
As for me, I had a pretty uneventful week for photos.. I was looking for the darned magpie, but he seems to be under orders from Mis.. I played around with taking shots of stuff in really bad light. Tried some with the muti-exposure function with varying results. My friend collects smoking paraphernelia.. hence the flasks and the meerschaum pipes.

dorus
Itメs difficult choosingナ. Having lots of other pics tooナ. decided for this remake of a series which I did one year ago. After having learned and changed a lot since my re-entry into photography, I was curious to see if I would come up with different stuff. Not to everyoneメs taste, I suppose, but I am quite happy with the results.
ianmaleny
We've been having some weather this last couple of weeks, so not much happening. The Tammy 90 is stuck to the K10, or so it seems, and with the elements doing their thing, outside macro has not been possible. So I found a couple of rain drenched flowers and brought them inside. Here are my best efforts, not wall hanging material but I am improving.

As usual, some good work this week. I especially liked the lightening, and the Paul portrait is pretty good. Trains are also okay.
ianmaleny
O Shiva, if you insert a couple of
tags between your picture code you will create a bit of space.
dorus
Yes Ian, I was gonna put that question.... thanks do I simply add just that.....
....between the pics?
hagar
O Shiva, your 'mirrored' sky is pretty impressive.. but your third photo is just outstanding with way it almost moves as you scroll up or down! WOW!
Ian, I like both your shots.. excellent job. I am vying to get myself that lens more and more..
hagar
O Shiva, yup the
between the photos works perfectly. I forgot to do it with mine :-(
ianmaleny
Haig, the T9 seems to be pretty good. The colour rendering fits in nicely with my Pentax glass. Go on, buy one - I dare you ;) There is another example at the bottom of this thread which is a serious crop of a much larger image. No colour enhancement, just a little sharpening and de-noising. I like this lens! Its a detail from a strange fruit(?) I found growing over the road from my driveway. hagar
I saw that Ian.. I was wondring what it was. It sure has great detail and contrast. Everybody makes it real tough to stay on the LBA wagon on this forum.. sheeeeeesh
shots worth sharing
O good, O shiva, those *are* 3photos--I thought you had really gone off the deep end. #3 is my fav. I like the lightning shot Steve. Actually, I find I did very little shooting this past week but I did get the air conditioners in--and just in time, too! I did manage to pick off one. I don't know what prompted me to even look at my right front tire in that parking lot but I'm glad I had the camera with me.

a few images
Great shots! I particularly like Ian's first shot and Oshiva's 3 architectural shots. The rest are all fine too but, those four appeal to me. Thanks for sharing guys and gals.
mcmanamey
For the record - i did NOT instigate the jumping. I counted to 3 so as to make sure I would capture it. Matt couldn't count to three as the unlucky b... guy, was stuck behind his desk for 8 hrs before he could come edit the video I shot. Poor guy didn't even get a tan, much less 3 days of sunburn (ever been too busy to stop & put on sunscreen?)

miserere_mei
Haig, don't even mention magpies. I don't think I've taken a single shot for myself all week.

Maria, I'm pretty sure the door knob pic was posted by Markus, our Swiss representative. Don't try to open doors at the hinges (just looking out for you, Maria).

O Shiva, your photographic reincarnation is going well, keep going. Just do add a couple of
between the pictures :-) Yes, that's all you need to do,
is html code for 'line break'.

I like everyone's pics this week, I really do! It's nice to see how everyone has their own style, yet they're all quality photos. I think at this point I can guess pretty well who took a picture without seeing their name :-)

Like I said, no time to shoot for me, but I'm shooting a small project for a constructor friend of mine who's renovating some buildings. Hence the crane :-) they we're replacing the 4 huge windows above the entrance.

<img

A shot from the inside of the first old window being removed. Yeah, I got a bit artsy fartsy :-)

snik75
Mis, That's neat! Artsy indeed. O Shiva, I like the first of them the most, although the movement with scrolling on the third is intriguing also. Haig, I like the shot of the flasks... nice light and texture.

I took my tomato shots with you in mind...how are your strawberries coming? Good job everyone! Maria's are fun and whimsical, Javier's have excellent color (as always), Ian's, Haig's and OShiva's are such great compositions, Dave's just plain makes me laugh (Adam's too!), Steve, FABULOUS catch of the lightening, and Mis, your artsy-fartsy one is really great with all the contrast... Love the POW, as usual! Lisa
