anthony_bez
I have just loaded CS6 on to 64bit workstation, and did not deselect the 32bit version so have both.

I have been running just 64bit on my old workstation so my plug-ins don't need 32bit. But is there still any advantage keeping it?

Cheers
digitaldog
If all your 3rd party plug-in's run, you don't need that 32 bit version.
Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)
thirteenthumbs
In CS5.1 Epson Twain is only available via the import function in the 32 bit version. Other scanning software may only be available in the 32 bit version also. Adobe help for CS6 should cover the differences between the 64 and 32 bit versions and if you don't use the functions in the 32 bit version delete it.
anthony_bez
Thank you both for the information..... I don't expect it does any harm leaving it on, it just seemed strange it adobe loads both by default for Windows.

Cheers
ted_marcus1
I have 32- and 64-bit versions of CS5. When I installed CS5, I mainly used the 32-bit version because of several plug-ins. Since then, I've replaced all those plug-ins with 64-bit versions, and now use only 64-bit Photoshop. Is there any way to uninstall or remove only the 32-bit version, other than uninstalling everything and doing a fresh install of Photoshop?
hjoseph7
If you print at home make sure to change your print drivers to 64bit. I still use Photoshop 32 bit version, because I have plug-ins that have been discontinued.
