Photographer's Fee - Classical Indian Dance Performance

<p> Does anyone know what the going rates are for a photographer to photograph an Arangetram dance performance and proivde a package of photographs.? This is an classical Indian dance performance (2hrs long) performed by a student, usually in her late teens. It can be thought of as a graduation performance. This rates on a similar level to a wedding interms of importance in Indian culture.<br>

<p>To me, two hours of event work is two hours of event work. If you are good at it what difference does it make if it's a wedding or a graduation- or for that matter the importance of the moment to your subject? </p>

<p>I charge a millionaire's son exactly the same as a missionary's (and I've had both as clients) and I'd challenge anyone to figure out through the images which was which. I cannot do a better job behind the lens because I am paid more- so I charge everyone the same.</p>

You should have an hourly rate and include any post work at the same rate.Prints extra with your markup.

<p>Just remember to add to that pricing (if you haven't accounted for it already in your hourly rate) the time spent getting to and from the venue (if it's a remote one). Otherwise, the advice offered above is perfect.</p>
