francois_brahic
Hi! I will be moving to Japan for a year starting in a few weeks. I will be photographing considerably while I am there, and would like to be able to purchase supplies along the way, rather than bring everything with me. In particular I will be needing: -Film (120 and 4x5, in B&W and Polaroid) -Developper (Rodinal) Does anyone know of a mail order place in Japan that would be able to provide me with such supplies? Or perhaps a US company that ships abroad for less than exhorbitant rates (Freestyle charges $80+ for 5lbs to Japan!). Thanks! Francois
constance_cook
Yodobashi has everything you will need. They are rather like B&H in that they are a discount house for photography. You should join their point system. You get points for each purchase which you can redeem at any time. They have a Web site but it is in Japanese. You will find Yodobashi stores in all major Japanese cities and there is always someone who can speak enough English to help you. Conni
kunihiko
Which city will you stay ?
In major cities, it won't be hard for you to get what you need, but it would be difficult to find Rodinal in countryside, I think.
Needlles to say, Fuji Products are easiest to get. If you like them there's no problem.
