The Alamo if it is a slow day for tourists. The last time I was there, I didn't go to the top of their space needle (or whatever they call their observation tower) but there might be some nice panoramas from there. The Riverwalk is a bit touristy and if you are shooting there on a sunny afternoon, the harsh shadows become problematic. If you have a car, you might follow the Mission Trail that winds, I believe, to the south of the city. It takes you to 4 or 5 old missions that are smaller in scale than the Alamo but all very photogenic. Also, there are a few early 20th century buildings around the downtown that are architecturally interesting. That should keep you going for two days! I think I'd pick the Mission Trail everything else being equal. You can probably print a map of the Trail of off the web. Have fun. Here's a link to my folder on the nearby Texas Hill Country that I visited during wildflower season a couple of years ago. http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=588450
