RR, what actually is that?

LOL Hi Ludmilla. Apologies for the delayed response.

"That" is a mid 1930s Voigtander Bessa. A medium format, 6X9 folding camera that will almost fit in your pocket when closed up. When you manage to get everything right, it takes pretty darn good pitchers.

Kodak Portra expired film

I find it a real challenge to use effectively. I often make accidental double exposures, and don't always nail the "zone" focus

Last batch of film I shot with it was in bright sunlight on a beach... Some of the shots were a bit overexposed!

Sorry for the thread hijack.

Thanks, RR. I’ve no desire to shoot film but I’ll have an hour or two googling the Voightlander

Nice. Far as I know VOigtlander was a thing back in the very early days of photography? Today, Voigtlander (Cosina) based in Japan continues to thrive and makes some REALLY great lenses. I guess they made cameras into the 21st century tho and I have a sweet little Voigtlander R3m rangefinder (film camera). Combined with their excellent lenses it is not only a joy to use, but the images it produces are superb too.
