Pentax's Modern SLR Forefather, the AP

  1. The Praktiflex had a return mirror in pre-WWII and retained it in the first post-war production. There are earlier discussions here.
    I do think Asahi was first in Japan, but neither the Pentax nor even the Nikon F returned the mirror fully--you had to wind on before precise focus was possible.
