Finally we have some GOOD pre-Christmas rumors about Pentax. I was curious after reading Pal's post. Here's what I found:
http://photorumors.com/2009/11/27/pentax-645d-user-manual-leak/
Scroll down a bit cuz there's more... I got to pinch myself... Pentax also goes FULL FRAME in 2010!!!!

None of this is really news; the 645D has been cemented for Spring 2010 release/announcement for quite some time. A number of Pentax representatives around the globe have said this, as have Pentax Japan.

As for Full-Frame, the opposite is true, with just about everyone with inside knowledge saying there will NOT be a FF DSLR from Pentax any time soon. I don't think Pentax can get away from introducing a FF camera, but I don't expect them to release it in 2010, although they might announce it in the last quarter of 2010 and slate it for a 2011 release.

The bulk of the sensor/lens mount makes it look bigger than it is. I'm always amazed how compact the Pentax 645 cameras are.

The current Pentax 645NII measures 147mm x 109mm x 117mm.
Pentax K20D: 141.5mm x 101mm x 70 mm
Pentax K7: 130×97x74mm
Nikon D3: 160 x 157 x 88 mm

Here's a fun 645D thread from 45 months ago, coincidentally also started by Pal as this thread is also his. Time Flies huh Pal?

Read this almost 4 year old thread below and you'll see John Carlson of Pentax USA said no 645D for USA. I'd also point out the 645D manual is in Japanese only, not a good sign of 645D officially coming to USA:

I think its great that Pentax will offer 645D in 2010 to Japan Homemarket.

645D price point of 1 Million Yen thesedays is $11,600, or in my world:

The cost of Four Canon 5D Mark II and $800 in change or Four D700 and $2,000 in change.

One mans affordable medium format digital at $11,600 can buy a bunch of gear, very possibly an entire system instead of a camera and kit lens combo.
