rmdavis
Has anyone ever wondered who the patron saint of photography is? Wel,I did. And this is what I found. http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/saintv02.htm Interesting. I guess I should hang out more with laundry workers. jorn ake
Yep - so you can see now the ironic sense of humor that Leonardo Da Vinci had, if we accept current scholarship that suggests Leonardo's own image is the face on the shroud of Turin, produced through his early understanding of lenses and photosensitive materials. m.c.fitz
Interesting, I never would have made that connection, since I thought St. Lucy (luce, lumiere, light) would be the logical choice.

peter_evans4
St Elliott. I've a feeling I've seen him (her) dressed as a nun, too. Probably chewing a cigar at the time.
mfophotos
St. Gene...I like that! But I also thought there was St. Ansel and St. Steiglitz....
rmdavis
I thought Lucy would be good, what with glaziers and lensmakers. But I guess we need her to be busy interceding for Leica right now, so perhaps its best that she's not distracted by actual photographers at the moment. silent1
I think that's gotta be St. Jude working for Leica, doesn't it? Patron saint of lost causes, you know. And he's plenty busy in the photographic industry lately, what with the good work he did on Ilford, and with repeat business over at Agfa Photo...
