silverscape
I've finally been playing around with my Polaroid 440 camera recently. It takes pretty good pictures - reasonably sharp, with no light leaks. It's a lot of fun and I've been happy with it. But one problem I have noticed is that it has major parallax error. The viewfinder is pretty far off. I've noticed that when I frame something in the viewfinder, I have to tilt the camera up a little bit or otherwise the top part of the subject will get cut off. Even for subjects that are like 10-15 feet away. It's annoying having to remember to do that every time I take a picture. Does anyone know if there is any way to adjust the viewfinder? The rangefinder works fine and the focus is sharp. It's just the viewfinder framing that is way off.

And he has a parallax correction for your camera and a whole bunch of other polaroid cameras.
Hope this helps.
john carter
Hi Chris, I don't know about the 440, but my 100 had the unit inside the flip box get loose. I opened it and recemented. It still is off a small bit, but isn't a problem except when using the 581 close-up attachment. I framed this with the models head at the top and but it still cut off a little bit.
