marco_a.
Hi everyone, we just finished writing a paper (in two parts) on our experience with a 1DsMkII + IR filter and with an IR-modified Rebel XT (350D) doing IR photography. It is also a bit of a primer on IR photography, discussing issues such as focusing, hot spots, chromatic aberrations and so on in the near infrared range. Nothing new under the sun, but it puts together quite a lot of info in one place, plus our direct experiences with Canon EOS bodies, Canon AF lenses, and Nikon AIS lenses used via an adaptor on the Canon bodies. The link is www.fotoavventure.it/freecontent/MxaCla_fotografiaIR/index.php The English version is not a translation of the Italian one, but a rather different and more structured work. Those of you who can read both languages are suggested to read the English version. Be patient when you download the two parts. The two pdf's *are* heavy. Hopefully you'll find it interesting/useful. Happy Holidays! Claudio and Marco

mark u
Your papers nicely illustrate some of the points brought up in this recent thread, and go into much more detail on certain aspects: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00J87m&tag= There is also useful information in some of the links from that thread. Part two also contains two new appendices on IR macrophotography (with visible light flash) and polarization.
