russ_albion
That's basically it, the deal is about $450 ( I am in Israel) which is about $200 less than the retail price minus the Nikon prime.

My main concern is that the IQ may not be on a par with the D300 + 60/2.8 (Im hoping for better)

I have Nikon d(SLR)s and lenses so it may be a good fit, with the aim of trading my D300 towards purchase of a good Oly or Panasonic lens.

Sound good to you guys?
marc_rochkind
No idea what Israeli prices are, but the G3 (which I use and like a lot) is a couple of versions old at this point. $650 for that body body and kit lens sounds way high to me.
russ_albion
Hi Marc.

Yeah, the new price is insane, but that's how it is outside of the US.

Anyway, I bought the kit + 50/1.4 Nikon AI-S for $450. Shot a few hundred frames over the weekend and will post my comments later on the forum. I really like this camera.
