chip l.
It was noted in todays chat that there are are new M lenses forth coming. I guess my Leica USA source might be correct. I was mentioning that there seems to be interest in expanding the Tri- Elmar series (ie., Tri-Elmar Wide and Tri-Elmar Tele). They seemed to indicate that Leica Germany also noted that interest and that the future MAYBE strong for other "Tri's". I guess only time will tell.... jay_.
I'd love a 75-90-135 Tri-Elmar. I'd buy one the same time as a digital M back. As is I've got enough expensive Leica M glass awaiting paperweight duty in a few years.
albert knapp md
I would also love to see a faster version of the Tri-Elmars, say f/2.8. I know it would weigh more but I would like it.
al_kaplan1
In keeping with Leitz tradition there can perhaps be a 50/2.8 Elmar, but any other focal length would have to be an Elmarit if it was a f/2.8.
dan_brown4
A compact 35/2 & 75/2.8 Bi-Elmar would be very cool. Emphasis on the word "compact". So would a 50 & 28 Bi-Elmar.
lenk
I'd like a 28-50-90 Tri-Summicron that can be handheld and weighs less than a kilogram...
kevin m.
I'd like a 15-135mm f1.4 uber-apo lens that takes 39mm filters. Hey, dream big or stay at home!
al_kaplan1
I'm with Kevin on this! They could make a slot for inserting filters inside the lens, allowing use of 39mm filters on this huge lens. Use all light weight plastic elements and call it a Multi-Bokehron!
john_r._fulton_jr.
........Also (Kevin's idea) doesn't block the viewfinder!!
