Sig1664886093
Hi there, I recently found this interesting looking camera and thought I'd try and find out a bit more about it, inital Google search gave no joy. The back section says UK made Polaroid Land Camera. I particularly like the shutter release lever mechanism. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. John Seaman
Oscilloscope, microscope, medical? Something must attach to the front, an optical fibre cable or endoscope perhaps?
otislynch
John is correct. That's an Olympus "instant endoscopic camera", and the snout hides their OES endoscopic system bayonet mount. Fiberoptic endoscopes were just coming into use when I was a surgical resident, and taking pictures through them was an obsession for many. There were all sorts of endoscopic adapters for 35mm cameras - I had several over the years. This camera allowed immediate placement of a picture of findings in a patient's chart. But the IQ was less than stellar, so they weren't popular at the hospitals in which I trained and practiced.
