manuel_odabashian
i'm looking a reasonably priced camera it says it's working but no film has been run through costs £22 is it worth the risk? What can go wrong?
tomspielman
There are any number of things that COULD be wrong but from what I've read the mju i is pretty reliable. I've had several XA and XA2s (the forerunner to the mju) and they all either worked right away or needed simple repairs, - an unresponsive shutter button is a common problem with those. Other than that I just replaced the light seals, for which there are inexpensive kits available if you don't want to cut your own. The price seems to be pretty good. Unless the seller accepts returns, there is an element of risk of course.

tomspielman
Is there a simple way of repairing the unresponsive shutter? The unresponsive shutter was a problem with the XA series. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the mju or not. With the XA2 it was solved by bending a spring clip that had become flattened over time.
