Olympus C725 - Problems with the flash

Hi,

I own an Olympus C725 model and I have some problems with it. After I

lent it to a person to take some photos, I found out that the flash

was no longer working.

I mean, if the flash is not activated, the camera takes pictures

without any problems.

If i activate the flash by raising it up, the camera won't take any

picture, I mean the triggering button will not operate. The display

shows the small green flash icon, but this icon is continuously

flashing... When I half push the trigerring buton, the display shows

as usual, next to the flash incon, a small round green circle which

indicates that the clarity and brightness are ok to take the picture.

But even if a completely push the button, it will not operate, the

camera won't take the picture...

Anybody knows what this is about? I appreciate any advice...
