rafal_m
Hello everybody, I came across an interested 4x5 negative from way back when. http://i13.ebayimg.com/03/i/06/37/1c/ab_1.JPG There is a number tag imprint on the negative (top left corner); does anyone know which film holders had these?... or is this a custom job? Thank you all for you time, Rafal
john_shriver
Probably a Grafmatic. Holder with multiple septums to hold sheets of film, 6 or 8 sheets in one holder.
trw
It's not a graphmatic, but probably something similar. Graphmatics had the frame number on a wheel, not a tab.
jack_fisher1
Rafal, In the early fifties, when I was into commercial photography with a Speed Graphic, I numbered all my film holders with small transparent pieces of plastic with numbers on them. The number pieces were attached to the hinged flaps at the end of the holders with adhesive tape. That way holder problems, such as light leaks could be located. Also, the negative numbers could be written on the back of prints to allow quick retrieval of the negatives for reprints, etc. Why haven't I done that lately???
