btmuir
Hello guys and gals. I've been learning the Hasselblad system and need some help with the NPC Polaroid back. Recently picked one up on the bay and of course there is some goo on the rollers and the flap were the film exits the magazine. What is the correct procedure to clean these up amd also the plastic houseing for the unit? Does anyone know where I can get a manual or instruction sheet?? Haven't worked with these before and am at your mercy. Thanks everyone. BTM
phil_hanson
There are probably better ways, but I always had good luck getting rid of the goo with a mild dishwashing detergent and water, applied with Q-tips, cotton balls and some small well-used cotton cloths. btmuir
Thanks Phil, thats what I eventually used. It got all of it off the metall but the plastic parts were stained slightly. All ready to test, thanks again.
paul_sharratt
Bruce -- I bought a used NPC Polaroid back a couple of weeks ago and it came with the instruction pamphlet. If you want a copy let me know. Doesn't say much about cleaning the rollers other than using a dry, lint-free cloth, or, for particularly difficult particles use a damp cloth. The dish detergent advice and method works and would do no harm.
