salvatore.mele
Did anybody try RRS plates onto the new Novoflex Q=Base? - Would the stop pin at the end of the RRS plates work? - Or would it rather be in the way? The clamp of the Novoflex system seems to be in the inner 1/2 of the full plate surface. I am purchasing a Mini Magic Ball (when climbing every gram counts) and attaching the RRS quick release sistem with no twist onto it will require me some (permanent) drilling/gluing/bricolage that I'd rather not do. The solution seems to be the `native` Novoflex Q=Base to go on the Mini Magic Ball and the RRS superb products for the cameras/lenses. Novoflex tells me the Mini Magic Ball and Novoflex Q=Base has some native anti-twist pin. BTW did anyone try this combo out? Thanks in advance. Cheers. frank uhlig
I was intrigued and went to novoflex.de. There are Novoflex Q-plates of differing dimensions, even an L bracket to go with the Q-base. maybe one should stay within one system ... RRS etc is wonderful, these look a little bit lighter and cost less. Best to see first hand, though, as always ...
