<p>A happy Wednesday, and a happy New Year, Nikonistas. Everyone ready for a fresh 52 weeks of images from this always interesting crowd? It's a highlight of every week, and I'd like to thank everyone for a great 2010 worth of putting that Nikon gear to work and sharing the results.<br /><br />In the spirit of new year's resolutions, here's what's on the table, so to speak. In our kitchen, we're going for more produce. What's on your plate? Share a photo!</p><div></div>

<p>Hello...Found this guy shooting with a 600mm lens. I made good use of my Nikon camera and took pictures of hi Canon equipment.</p><div></div>

<p>Didn't shoot this week but I was able to save a drive which had some good shots. Chose this one because I was playing a Tourist. D300 with my trusty Sigma 18-50 f/2.8</p><div></div>

<p>Hello, everybody! Great images. Today I have another dog -- a Tibetan terrier named Bobby, with his hair cut VERY short. He usually moves so fast that even the shutter speed of 1/1000 is not enough. But this time I managed to catch him.</p><div></div>

<p>Happy New Year to everyone - shot this one a couple of days ago in the late afternoon on the shores of the St.Lawrence River in a frozen state. I am busy working on a personal web site so my time at PN is quite limited.</p><div></div>

<p>This shot was taken during my trip to Munnar (Western Ghats) in southern India. A herd of wild elephants blocked us in the road and we had to wait almost 2 hours for them to give way for us. Great fun ofcourse. </p><div></div>

<p>Flower buds? I found them growing in my backyard several months ago. Nikon D700 + nikon 105mm macro d.</p><div></div>

<p>For a while I had pre-visualized this shot: I wanted an early '60's looking black & white shot of the Seattle Monorail streaking into the night. Two weeks ago I went out with my N8008s on an evening of light rain. As I walked down 5th Avenue, I noticed the 1963 Mercury Comet sitting at the curb, and I knew I had my shot. I composed, and waited for the Monorail to arrive in the frame. I took 3 quick shots, and this is number 2.<br>

<p>Here's why I shelled out money I didn't have for a D300. Doesn't look like much of an excuse, I know, but it's shot at ISO 3200 -- which the old D40x could not do, bless its noble heart. This is a little still life from the shelf next to my desk, called MADONNA, DYLAN, REAGAN AND NIETZSCHE with SPALDEEN and ROWBOAT. </p><div></div>
