I've had enough of photographing snow, and decided to warm back up under the modeling lights in the studio. Here's one from a growing stock series dealing with old-school analog tools and techniques. Um... shot, of course, on a more new-school, non-analog digital tool.

What have you been shooting? If one of the tools you used says 'Nikon' on it, please share a recent shot!

00VqYl-223261684.thumb.jpg.9158c217950a8f8782d44534a8e1fd65.jpg

Good morning & Happy WedNEsDAy everyone.

Thank you again to all of those who commented on my posting last week. I’m honored by your recognition.

My photo this week comes again from Bellingrath Gardens. As the afternoon began to cool and in hopes of some warmth, we ventured into Bellingrath’s greenhouse. I was immediately drawn to this flower. I believe it is a hibiscus. Although there were other colors of hibiscus, to me, this was the most exceptional. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Wow, I must be up late !
Still at the water drops . Tried something a bit different this time with colored tissue paper and food coloring instead of using the white balance to change color.

Nikon D300 60mm micor lens f/11 shutter 1/250 Iso 280 EV -1 Auto white balance SB 600 off camera to the left

I had red tissue paper behind the dish with the flash aimed at it. The drops were with green dye.

The local hardware shop's old building is being torn down. Among many wreckage shots, I like this one for the story it implies.

Hello Everybody,
nice photos already, it is difficult to keep up with the high standard set by Matt every week. I really enjoy your photos.
Thank you, Gej Jones, for your comments on photo and my choice of books :-)
I shot this week's picture only few minutes ago, when picking up my son from kindergarten, there is a beautiful pink bush in full bloom just outside the gate, and I had to photograph it, it looks spectacular.

Getting the boot! And this all happened because the bird on the left didn’t paint the nest. But these birds are an item so they quickly settled their differences, and best of all – they don’t have to worry about falling off ladders.

I was in Italy last week that was an opportunity for taking photos of my native city. Pity I did not have much time to process the photos yet apart from a few including the one I share today. Clearly, these city views are very different from the ones in norther Europe where I live now.

An early Good Morning to all. Great start so far. Roberta I've been enjoying all your drops. Matt I love the BW detail pic. And John your cat pic really caught my attention. Well since I've been shooting so much Girls fast pitch softball I thought I'd use one from last Thursday. I was trying to catch the ball on the bat and freeze the softball. I was playing with high ISO and high Shutter speeds. Nikon D3,Nikon 80-400 VR, 300mm, F9, 1/2000 sec, ISO 3200.

00Vqas-223285584.thumb.jpg.ef31388d14e1c3e6261efe4a270aa627.jpg

Happy Wednesday my dear Nikon colleagues,

There was an accident on the street three weeks ago. A car hit bicycle and police called paramedics. She saved and was O.K. Thanks for stopping by and many cheers to you all. Regards,
