<p>A happy Nikon Wednesday to you, everyone. All the sudden we've got a 6F windchill outside, which makes doing some inside chores seem like a really good idea. But nothing helps me procrastinate on fixing that toilet that won't stop running better than deciding I have to photograph something. So, that's right folks - it's the amazing Fluidmaster S2DBL Water Saving Dual Flush Valve System (it actually works pretty well ... I did get around to actually installing it). Used your Nikon gear to shoot when you should have been doing something else? Share a photo!</p><div></div>

With the cold weather pummeling the South, I thought a little frost with fit right in. This was all that was left of a patch of Black-Eyed-Susans. They are very hardy and will be back next year but for now they are covered with a blanket of snow. This was a fun shot!

<p>Dear Nikon Users...My image is called <strong>Glory Window</strong>. These are stained glass windows in a 60-foot spiral ceiling at Thanksgiving Square Chapel in Dallas, Texas.</p><div></div>

<p>First snow .. and not really cold yet. It would help if I didn't need glasses myself to see where I set my camera, in this case somehow to ISO 2200 on a bright afternoon (not me bright, the lighting) Anyway, the prints looked good.</p><div></div>

<p>Greeting, everybody! Here is a shot I took in Big Sur, CA, a couple of days ago.</p><div></div>

<p>Happy Wednesday to all. Here is an image I made at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale, AZ.</p><div></div>

<p>Bill, love the shot! Did you hand hold or were you allowed to use a tripod?</p>

<p>D300 with 105mm AIS Nikkor. These old MF lenses, besides being super sharp on digital cameras, allow you to easily manual focus through the foreground to the subject in the background.</p><div></div>

<p>On a short drive around Bakersfield, CA tonight we found a really nicely decorated church. They had a big fountain out in front, surrounded by trees wrapped in christmas lights. So, of course, we had to skate it. My friend Garrick did a manual (balancing on just the back wheels) across the fountain.</p><div></div>

<p>In early and I can already see this will be a great Wednesday.<br>

Mine today is that of a Bluegrass/Gospel Band local here to the Benton area. A Family band that is one of my favorites. This photo was from a concert on Dec 3rd @ the KY Opry.<br>

I used my Nikon D90, Sigma 70-200 @ 70mm, f5.6, i/125, iso 2000.<br>

<p>I headed out to the Lake District last weekend hoping to capture the landscape covered in snow. Unfortunately, the rise in temperature and the rain washed away the snow by the time I decided to head out on Saturday morning to take a few photos.<br />Here's a picture by one of the many jetties at Ullswater.</p><div></div>

<p>Wow, great stuff already! Took the grandchildren to a local educational farm last month. Not very many real farms left by us any more, unfortunately. Decided to take my newly purchased used 28-105 lens to see how well it did. Although this guy (gal?) let me get fairly close, I was still being checked out as some kind of suspicious character.</p><div></div>

<p>Went for a walk in Downtown Austin, when the stairs on the side of the Convention Center caught my eye. Shot through a grate to get at the stairs behind. Love my 70-300mm VR. It's a surprisingly sharp lens - even when focused manually.</p>

<p>This photograph was taken in a seashore where water sports are very popular. I had taken this shot and my focus was these young tourists who were doing para gliding.</p><div></div>
