  1. Important: please keep your image under 1000 pixels on the longest side for in-line viewing, and please keep the FILE SIZE UNDER 300kb. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc). Are you new to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here: This forum's moderators are allowing up to three Nikon Wednesday images per week, so share some work!

A busy weekend, and just coming off Memorial Day's reflection on our military folks, means I'm going back to last week's Blue Angels for some more Nikon Wednesday-ness. You just know that next week is going to be Cicada-Palooza (we're getting inundated here in our area, and they do NOT fly with the skills of a Navy pilot, I can tell you). Share some photos!

  6. Pulled out an 80-200mm f/2.8 Nikkor that hasn't seen the light of day in a while - tough to hand hold at 200mm and get a sharp image.

  10. Red-throated diver stretching its wings before taking off. I find these birds quite mysterious and ancient in the atmosphere that they create.

    D6, 500/5.6 PF, f/5.6, 1/1000s, ISO 900. Quite a heavy crop.

  11. Photographing a grove in Salo, we had to move through muddy trails to find some interesting trees. I looked up and tried to get a sense of the atmosphere into the photo.

    D850, 45 PC, f/2.8, 1/60s, ISO 64.

  12. Another picture straight up towards the canopy.

D850, 24 PC, 1/13, f/11, ISO 64. This one is heavily compressed to get it to fit within 300 kB.
