Matt Laur
Important: please keep your image under 1000 pixels on the longest side for in-line viewing, and please keep the FILE SIZE UNDER 300kb. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc). Are you new to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here:http://www.photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00W7km. This forum's moderators are allowing up to three Nikon Wednesday images per week, so share some work! I fully expect that NEXT Wednesday, we'll see some proper fireworks shots. But until then, we have to practice. So here's a static engine test, just like Space-X does, only ridiculous. Two quick shots - one with the thrust exhaust, and then another just as the payload of shiny sparkly stuff goes kablooie. D810 with a Sigma 105/2.8 macro. Test complete! More text week. Share some photos!

heimbrandt
Who does not enjoy a good roadtrip? This is shot a few days ago at the summit of the Stelvio Pass in Italy at about 2 750 m (9.045 ft.) above sea level. After reaching the top from Switzerland, some 48 hairpin bends made the road ahead an even better drive. Nikon D800E, AF-S 16-35/4VR

John Di Leo
Tipitina's on the corner of Napoleon and Magazine here in New Orleans is one of the premier iconic music venues. On some Sundays professional musicians tutor the upcoming generation, thus ensuring the musical legacy of the city for decades to come (assuming we don't go under water). Last Sunday was one such date and my grandson, whom we've dubbed Trumpet Shorty was "in that number." Three shots all d810 w 24/70 @ 10000(!) iso.
