The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here: http://www.photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00W7km. This forum's moderators are allowing up to three Nikon Wednesday images per week, so share some work! Hello Nikonistas and a good Wednesday to everyone. A little behind-the-scenes shot this time, showing one of my camera drones on the set where we were shooting some commercial vehicles. This one carries a Micro 4/3 camera body, and was using a very nice 12mm Oly lens. This shot of it was with a backup body on a long Nikon lens (D600 with a 200-500) that I keep handy for you-never-know-what when I've got everything else rigged up, usually for wider shots. So if you've been itching to show photos of your photo gear, maybe this is the week!

Matthew Currie
As some may have figured out I like to chase bugs, and one of the things that helps is a macro rail. Unfortunately, mine, actually the base from an old Minolta bellows, does not have a quick release on it. I made a pad for the tripod, but too cheap to buy an adapter for the other end, decided to make my own. Of course I could buy a cheap one, pad and all, for about thirty bucks, and at any kind of wage I've exceeded that monkeying around, but.... There's an old saying that you can make anything on a shaper except money. Perfect.
Matthew Currie
It's fun to do even if it's a waste of productivity, and it makes my equipment smile.
Matthew Currie
I haven't finished filing the edges, and maybe I'll put some black paint on it too. But it works. Look out bugs, here we come!
