Week 15 and April has definitely, finally brought us spring here in our area. Not just the budding trees and air full of pollen and flowers ... but the fact that it's still light enough well after 7:00PM for me to grab a shot like this while out walking the dog. Taking advantage of the longer days? Share some photos!

We had an unusual warm period in February, which woke up a lot of trees just in time for a couple of hard freezes. Local botanist types said the magnolia blossoms were all done in, but this evening I found this sturdy little attempt on the nearby tree. Perhaps we'll have a whiff of that magic flower in June after all.

  7. Too bad my D500 blew it on this shot. Seems to have focused on the grass behind. Oh well.

  20. Sally, sometimes for some reason I get an error on loading a file, but I've found that if I post anyway, and then immediately edit, with the "more options" enabled, I can add the file in an edit. I don't know why, but so far that has not failed.
