I think it's time for another Wayback Wednesday! Here, I wander back a few years to a pleasant afternoon on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay. I've never been an angler, but I think I see the point. A little peacefulness definitely appeals, fresh fish for dinner or not. Maybe the guy fishing was thinking, "I've never been a photographer, but I'll bet it's relaxing..."

Share some photos on this twelfth Nikon Wednesday of the year! This one was collected with a D300 and a 70-200/2.8.

This goes WAY BACK to the last weekend; extended weekend trip to Anza Borrego Desert State Park to see some stunning display of wildflowers.

Brittlebrush, entire hillsides were covered with these flowers. D810, Sigma 150/2.8 OS, f/8, 1/640, ISO 72

Wayback? Hmm, not really, but kinda? There's this thing in the USA called "National History Day" where middle and high school students compete with presentations, plays, exhibits, websites and documentary films. My daughter competed locally and was selected to advance to the state-level competition. She did it all on her own - no coaching or directing from above, which makes her accomplishment all the more special, at least to her proud and non-interfering father. :) Here she is holding the coveted manila envelope stating she's a state qualifier!

Not wayback in the picture, but maybe in another sense, a continuing look at the downfall of the once-flourishing Hyde Manor resort. Once upon a time, horses and carriages and horse drawn omnibuses would have been frequent, the aptly named "breakneck hill" challenging the brakes as they descended from a day at the lake. Now ghost riders only, I think.84545422_lookoutforhorses.thumb.jpg.63cc5c22ed6c22b0c0626931009b9456.jpg
