June 14th was Flag Day in the U.S. - and there were plenty out, some at half mast. What've you been photographing, Nikon folks?

00e06L-563699984.jpg.ea9e3a9dee6689b0c5cfe7bf985278cf.jpg

I came across this black snake on the back road today. A common critter in these parts, a rat snake of unusual size. I though it interesting how it was twisted. When I pushed it off the road with my trusty hockey stick (every car should have a field hockey stick) it coiled like a spring.

00e0DG-563718084.jpg.bf39791742eccb016048c4b75371fbde.jpg
