Hello Nikonistas, and especially to you New Englanders, if you're dug out enough to sit down and spend some time in front of the computer.

We didn't get the storm, but we had a serious drop in temps as that front blew through. And there's only one thing to do when it's cold in February: find a sunny spot inside and sleep until March. At least, that's what our older dog thinks. Honestly, that leather chair is supposed to be completely off limits to the dogs ... but we just don't have the heart to deny him. Feels good on his older bones - and the sun hits it perfectly in the afternoon. Got a secret sunny spot to warm up this winter weather? Share a photo!

00bLSq-519551584.jpg.2afeb8c660df5d86ebdbb92b9c72e9b7.jpg

Like I've said before..I take my camera everywhere. I was working in the Perry County Ohio Auditor's office several weeks ago. I had my D300 with 17-55 f/2.8 with me. Here are some of the folks that take care of the residents of Perry County, Ohio.
My D300 with battery grip and the 17 - 55 f/2.8 with hood are not exactly svelt. As long as I have the strength to carry them....I will.

00bLSv-519553584.jpg.4425508279710f256708117a495d49fe.jpg

I recently was involved in a fund raising project to help a pet rescue organisation. Now shooting models is fine. Shooting models and dogs together is a whole different ballgame. Thought I'd post an outtake showing what happens when things go to the dogs.

00bLUG-519589584.jpg.d2ede96aac6027d26c6d650c09e7f9f3.jpg
